About the project
ITACA (Improving Tourism Action in CADSES Area) is a project whose aim is to support sustainable development of protected areas which are parts of Natura 2000 network. The project promotes equilibrium between nature conservation and usage of natural resources by supporting alternative forms of tourism, especially eco - tourism.
ITACA is a project realised in frames of INTERREG III B CADSES from 2006 to 2008 by partners from the Czech Republic (Karlove Vary Region), Hungary (Harsanyi Janos College), Italy (Ferrara Region) and Poland (MARR). It is co - financed by European Regional Development Fund. Total cost of the project is 724 500 euro.
In frames of the ITACA Project in Ma³opolska MARR SA realises a set of activities supporting eco-tourism development in the Carp Valley in O¶wiêcim district.:

We would like to add that these activities can be seen as a part of comprehensive support of the Carp Valley realised by MARR.
In 2006 Land Use Study of the areas surrounding "Piastowski" and "Têczak" Reservoirs in Zator community.Thanks to numerous activities supporting the Carp Valley development realised not only by MARR but also by other organisations, this place has a chance develop rapidly and to attract more and more tourists and, on the other hand, to preserve its natural heritage.
Partners
MARR adjusts its activity to the needs of the market and to the point of view of Ma³opolska Development Strategy. Recently, our activity contains: European Support (consulting, incorporating national and regional programs), finance offer (credits, credit sureties) employment and education (training, consulting, European programs), offer for communities (training, counselling, consulting, projects), international promotion and cooperation (international projects, export promotion and development, conferences, business meetings organising), investment (investors service and property management).
KARLOVY VARY REGION: The regions, as higher self-governing territorial units, have begun to undertake local goverment and partly transferred state administration, according to the pattern by which Europe intends to integrate and live in the 21st century. The existence and actual activities of the regions are an important condition for the building of the regional policy and for the accession of the Czech Republic into the European Union. The Act on Regions accords with international obligations, including EU legislation.
INVESTON COMPANY: The INVESTON s.r.o. company focuses on comprehensive capital - engineering activities for planning and execution of constructions. The company specialises primarily in large capital projects. As such, the company operates namely in territories of Karlovy Vary, Sokolov, Cheb and the Prague Capital districts.
THE PROVINCE OF FERRARA: is located in the north-eastern part of the Italian peninsula, in the north-eastern corner of the Region Emilia-Romagna, along the axis Venice-Florence-Rome. Ferrara is 50 km from Bologna, the regional capital, and 60 km from the Adriatic Sea.
HARSÁNYI JÁNOS COLLEGE: HJF College, one of the most recent colleges in Budapest, has two graduate courses: Business and Management and Tourism and Hospitality. HJF College offers full-time and distance learning, with subsidized or tuition paying places, giving the opportunity to students to study in college basic training.
